These are my first “outside the shirt” tattoos, one on each forearm, just below the elbow crease.

Because this Latin is shot with camera-phone quality, I’ll translate for you. On the right, it says “faith and/therefore family” and on the left, it says “family therefore faith”, and those are oak leaves and acorns, for the dendrochronologically challenged.

they turned out beautifully! great design, and another success by Derek. make your appointments now folks before he realizes how at once reasonable and superb he is! i’m already planning my birds for my ankles… but in time. glad the referral was a good one. :-)

  • Thanks, Valerie and Jenn.

Good call on Derek, Jenn. He charged me a ridiculously low fee, so I tipped him close to 30%, and I feel like I should have left more on the table when I went back in to get my bicycle out of the hallway by his room. The poor guy is suffering from a miserable cold, so he was wearing a mask the whole time, so that he wouldn’t spread germs.

  • I can't wait to try out Google's maps for BICYCLE routes!
I've been waiting for this for a long time. At one point, I started working on a program that would use Google's map tools to create bicycle routes, but the programming was a little over my head. New Orleans pedicabs could get City Council OK By Br […]

  • First Impressions Count
The first impression your business makes on a web site is important. This probably comes as no surprise to you, because it sounds like common sense. But some Canadian researchers have quantified the theory in a study published in January 2006. Web sites judged in a blink TORONTO, Ontario (Reuters) — Internet users can give Web sites a thumbs up or thumbs dow […]
