At Buffalo Blue Bicycle recycling bicycles is a zen experience – a simplistic yet sometimes daunting machine is broken down to its barest components and reworked, re-oiled and put back together as a whole. The sum of all these parts is the most efficient human transport machine created. When you are out riding a bicycle that you have given new life that provides a smooth, comfortable ride; you experience a satisfying feeling of accomplishment. Riding a bicycle is an experience that brings back childhood memories for many of us. Unfortunately that was the last time many rode. The bicycle, as the forefront to all our motorized transportation, is to some no more then a childhood recreational device. At Buffalo Blue Bicycle we want to re-think bicycles and are out to dispel that myth!
Doesn’t this look like a good job?

I know Justin (doesn’t everyone who bikes in Buffalo?), and I get email messages from him about all kinds of bicycle issues. There are a couple workshops held every week where you can go and work on bikes, and for the past couple years I’ve been trying to find time to go to one. The problem for me is that, in addition to my day job, I also ride my bike taxi, so my time is very limited AND the Buffalo Blue Bikes building is on the other side of town from where I live, making it hard to ride my bike home after a long day. But one of these days, I’m going to go and help work on bikes for the Blue Bicycles program, and I encourage you to check it out, too.
